On the 9th of June 2021, a once in a lifetime storm wreaked havoc on hundreds of homes across the Dandenong Ranges. Thousands of massive Mountain Ash (Eucalyptus regnans) trees fell across the mountain, blocking roads, driveways and crushing hundreds of homes, leaving families without power for up to 4 weeks. RDH Excavations were quick to team up with The Tree Fairy Arborist, as well as multiple insurance companies to provide make-safe services and removal compromised trees. After the State Government awarded the clean-up contract to Johns Lyng’s disaster recovery division; Bushfire Recovery Victoria, RDH continued to provide machines to assist with arborist operations.
